Bragg Avionics was founded in 1957 by Dean Bragg, who balanced three jobs to support his family, with Bragg Avionics being one of them. Dean quickly realized that avionics was his true calling, and he ran the business with a focus on precision and efficiency. His son, Tommy Bragg, took over the business and led it for 50 years, transforming Bragg Avionics into the reputable company it is today. Under Tommy’s leadership, the company became known throughout the aviation industry for its customer-centric approach and welcoming service.

In 1984, Tommy’s son, Mike Bragg, began working at Bragg Avionics while still in high school. Both his father and grandfather envisioned a small, dedicated team for the company. However, when Mike took ownership in 2008, he aimed to expand Bragg Avionics to support more employees and significantly impact the aviation community in Northeast Florida.

As the longest-standing tenant at Craig Airport in Jacksonville, FL, Bragg Avionics has always been deeply committed to the Jacksonville community and surrounding areas. Mike officially took over running the business in 2015, upon Tommy’s retirement. Under Mike’s leadership, Bragg Avionics has continued to thrive, growing in both customer base and staff size as of 2023.
